Semarang (04/10) - A crowded atmosphere was seen around Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang on Sunday, 3 July 2016 (3rd day of Eid). A pack of Ahmad Yani Airport costumers can be seen crowding the terminal lobby seats. Upon checking it is discovered that a passenger was found unconscious and no heart beat can be traced.
KKP officers stated that the passenger of Lion Air JT 666 plane heading to Semarang-Balikpapan by the name of Tri Setiono died around 15 to 30 minutes ago, prior the examination done by the KKP officers around 16.00 Western Indonesia Time.
As form of service and care for any force majeure at the Airport area, Management of the Branch Office of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) in Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang liaise with PT Jasaharja Putera in matters of life insurance for passengers of flights at the Airport area.
The life insurance program are provided for the passengers who will depart and own tickets or booking code as well as to the passengers who just arrived at the Airport managed by PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero). Any passenger accidents which occur at the Airport area starting from the Airport’s toll gate to the door of the aircraft shall be borne by the Angkasa Pura Airports.
Therefore the Branch Office of the PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) in Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang handed over the claim proceedings from Jasaraharja Putera insurance to Kunaenah the legal beneficiary of Tri Setiono in the amount of Rp 15.000.000,00 (fifteen million rupiah) on Tuesday 4 October 2016 at 14.00 Western Indonesia Time in the meeting room of Ahmad Yani Airport.
The life insurance for passengers is meant to provide protection and assurance for the flight passengers in the PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Airport area and upgrade service provided to Airport costumers as cited in the Procurement Agreement No: 16/SPP/PL.02/2016/OD regarding liability service work or life insurance towards domestic and foreign passengers in the PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Airport and Airport Liability Insurance.
